For now I have here only a few archives of travel photos. The photos are presented as unedited scans done with a Canon FS4000 film scanner at 200 dpi. Comprehensive travelogues and photo archives to be done.

• Basque Country - Road tripping from Paris down to the Basque country to surf. Biarritz, France and San Sebastian, Spain. August 2002.


• Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia - A trip to Kazan, the capital of the Russian republic of Tatarstan (via Moscow) to attend the CAFe party. August 2002.


• Sarek, Sweden - Hiking with snowshoes and freeriding with snowboards in the north of Sweden. April 2004.

Summary of travels

• 19th World Jamboree, Bolivia and Chile, Dec 1998 - Jan 1999 — La Paz, Bolivia; Putre, Chile, San Pedro de Atacama, Chile; Iquique, Chile, Santiago de Chile, the Jamboree at Picarquin.


• ISOC, San Jose, California, June 1999 — Visited the Internet Society's annual conference in San Jose. Few days in New York City (introduction to Manhattan), San Francisco (hip) and Santa Cruz (surfing).


• IETF, Oslo, Norway, July 1999 &mdash With Setok and Partycle visiting the Internet Engineering Task Force meeting. From Helsinki to Stockholm by boat. Lodged at Loke's. Train to Oslo. At a summer hostel while attending the IETF. Train back, a night at a hostel in Stockholm and by boat back to Helsinki.


• Lapland, Finland-Norway-Sweden, August 1999 &mdash With As, Wiztom, Setok and Ravel at Karigasniemi. Took a trip to the Arctic Sea... for swim. Returned home by way of Norway and Sweden to Stockholm and then a boat to Turku.


• The Millennium, London, UK &mdash Enough said.


• USGP, Indianapolis, Indiana, Aug 2000 &mdash The inaugural US Grand Prix at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. With As, Wiztom and Akuo. Also New York City, Boston and Cambridge, MA.


• The Andes, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Jun 15 - Aug 1, 2001 &mdash The great overland solo trek from the Pacific to the Atlantic. Peru: Lima, Cusco, Puno. Bolivia: Copacabana, La Paz, Coroico, Santa Cruz de la Sierra. Argentina: Buenos Aires.


• Basque Coast, France and Spain, Aug 2002 &mdash Flew SAS via CPH to CDG. With an Avis car drove down to Biarritz, stop-over at Le Mans on the way. Some time in Biarritz, then to San Sebastian and back to Biarritz for last day of surf. Heavy drive north to Paris. Via CPH to HEL without having the stomach to do Paris.


• CAFe Party, Kazan, Tatarstan, Russia, Aug 2002 &mdash Train from Helsinki to Moscow arrived in the morning. Day in Moscow and then with another night train to Kazan. Cafe in Kazan. After a post-party day or two returned overnight to Moscow. Survived independent subwaying and saw VNDKH and cosmonaut museum. Returned by train to Helsinki.


• 20th World Jamboree, Thailand and Laos, Dec 24, 2002 - Jan 25, 2546 &mdash World Scout Jamboree in Thailand and associated tour of northern Thailand and Laos.


• Sarek National Park, Sweden, 7.-17.4.2004 &mdash Snowshoeing and snowboarding.


• Pyrenees and Basque Coast, France and Spain, Aug 26th - Sep 24th, 2004 &mdash Hiking in the French Pyrenees with Cauterets as the base. Quick trip to Andorra. Surfing in Spanish and French Basque Country.
